The Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) is a national organization that aims to increase the representation of underrepresented minorities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields.
Our SACNAS @ SF State chapter aims to aid this mission by helping students form a community and help each other succeed in gaining access to graduate STEM programs and other professional programs. We strive to accomplish this by providing our members with knowledge of research opportunities, mentorship, and fostering a sense of community in which our members are able to grow on both the professional and personal levels. Furthermore, throughout the year we organize social, academic, professional, networking, and community service events which contribute to the development of our members and the betterment of our community.
We welcome ANY and ALL SF State members who may benefit from our organization and/or contribute to our mission. Please feel free to contact us or any of the officers directly if you have any questions.
